Operating Policy of the Foundation

As an organization fighting disinformation, we strive to be as transparent as possible and apply strict and transparent rules defining all our activities.

Our Foundation operates according to the following principles:

  1. The Foundation is politically independent and free from external influences.
  2. The Foundation never endorses or publicly advises voting for any political parties or candidates for public office.
  3. The Foundation never concludes agreements or partnerships with political parties, nor does it engage in any public relations or similar activities that could jeopardise its reputation, independence or impartiality.
  4. The Foundation does not enter into an employment relationship with anyone who holds a paid and/or exposed position in a political party, government or state-owned or public enterprise under the direct control of a political party or government.
  5. The Foundation emphasises that statements made by its employees in the public space are identical to the Foundation’s position only when such communication takes place through the Foundation’s official channels.
  6. The Foundation’s employees are subject to strict anti-corruption practices, in particular the prohibition of accepting any illegal gratification in the form of gifts, favours or services on preferential terms in a professional context, going beyond commonly accepted courtesies.
  7. The Foundation is financed exclusively from sources that do not violate its integrity and independence, have no influence on the selection of topics and the method of verification.
  8. The Foundation may engage in advocacy activities providing that they are consistent with the mission of fact-checking or independent journalism and remain consistent with the principles of independence and impartiality.
